
General Information on College of the Siskiyous:
College of the Siskiyous was established in 1957. It is a public two-year community college located in Weed and Yreka, California. There are approximately 3,000 students enrolled at COS. Full-time students as well as part-time students make up this number. College of this Siskiyous values Music, Theater, Media Communications, Visual Arts, and Athletics. The Fort Theater is located on the Weed campus and holds many theatrical performances and events. The HerschelnMeredith Stadium is used for football and track and field events. The athletic mascot of College of the Siskiyous is the Eagle.
COS Athletics:
There are many sports offered at College of the Siskiyous. On campus, you can find many students who are involved in Volleyball, Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Track and Field. Dennis Roberts is the athletic director of College of the Siskiyous, and has been for nine years. He has been the head coach and assistant coach of football, softball, and men’s and women’s track and field.

Athletics Records
Track And Field:
The Eagles men’s team is ranked 6th in the State of California. Josh Peck recently broke a 26 year old school record in the discus with a 175’0”, making him #1 in Northern California and #1 in the state. Nolan Sweet is #2 in Northern California and #3 in the State, in the javelin. Robert Atoe in the shot put is 4th in Northern California and 7th the State.
Troy Pollard has a time of 48.54 in the 400m, placing him at #1 in Northern California and #2 in the State. Chad Thomas has placed 2nd in Northern California in the long hurdles with a mark of 55.28. The men’s 4x4 relay team is currently ranked 4th in Northern California and 7th in the State. Ashley Langi recently broke her personal best in the 100m with a 13.44 run.

SOFTBALL:
The Softball program at the College of the Siskiyous has won five straight Conference Championships. We have also competed in the Final Four State Championship for five years straight. During this time, we have the number one winning percentage of all California Junior Colleges during the Regular Season!
